About Mount Batur :

• Mount Batur (Gunung Batur) is an active volcano located at the center of two concentric calderas north west of Mount Agung on the island of Bali, Indonesia
• The first documented eruption was in year of 1804 and the most recent was in 2000. Highest point is 1,717 m (5,633 ft)

take 2 hours drive from south area and 1 hour from ubud , If you can manage to wake up early for the drive to the mountain, you will be treated to an adventurous hike in the dark with an amazing sunrise awaiting you at the summit The trek takes roughly 1 hour 30 mins to reach the summit, with the aim of arriving for sunrise before 6:30am.
best time to do this activity is around dry season ( in between april - september ) but even on wet season it's also possible as long as there is no rain.

Itinerary :

• Pick up at 01.30 am ( kuta , legian and seminyak area ) and 02.30 am ( ubud or sanur area)
• At 03.30 am arrive at starting point and get ready to hike
• 04.30 arrival at basecamp
• 05.30 summit and have a breakfast while enjoy the sunrise moment
• 07.00 am heading back down

What's to Bring or Wear :

Mount Batur is just like any other mountains out there in the world, so you do not need to have a specific clothing set that you need to wear when you are trying to hike Mount Batur. Just wear something that you are comfortable climbing the mountains with and you are good to go. but just for your information that the weather are more could than any other area in bali so maybe bring sweater / jacket.
